November 2010 update
Message from the Greenshed
Many of us know that sinking feeling everything is fine and the next minute a major problem occurs, well it happened during the early part of last week –one of the clubs tractors out collecting leaves the next minute the main transmission goes .

You bring in the experts to evaluate the damage and the costs start to go through the roof! ”BigAl” once again steps into the breach, strips the tractor down (parts everywhere goodness knows how it will go back together again?) fortunately only three main items required, parts ordered and delivered.
All being well tractor should be fully operational by the middle of next week (if Allen can remember where all parts go?) and we can start removing the leaves from the course.
No doubt most of the members have now seen the work currently underway on the 9th and 7th tee’
Apart from some atrocious spells of weather (over 20mm of rain last Wednesday 10th November) Martin is pleased with the progress so far having now removed approximately 160 tons of spoil, laid in excess of 140metres of drainage and imported over 260 tons of gravel and root zone.
